Top House Republican pushes funding for environmental program.
A senior lawmaker with a seat at the budget table is pushing a proposal that would provide full funding for a key environmental program.
The proposal by House Appropriations Chairman William Adolph, R-Delaware, is included in an amended version of the 2012-13 state budget under negotiation between Gov. Tom Corbett and Republican legislative leaders.
The House voted unanimously on Adolph's proposal, which restores funding for the Keystone Fund, a budget account that provides revenue for the maintenance and protection of state parks, waterways, playgrounds and museums.
