Talking about Pa. and clean energy

Editor: We all know that in order to fight global warming, we need to use less energy and advance clean, renewable energy sources like wind and solar power. And legislation (House Bill 2200 and Special Session House Bill 1) being debated in Harrisburg would make tremendous strides in both areas.

In the coming weeks, PennEnvironment staff will be going door-to-door in Hanover talking to citizens about global warming, the clean energy solutions that will help to cut global warming pollution, and the need for Pennsylvania to adopt a state-level global warming action plan.

Together, we hope to demonstrate grassroots support in Hanover for Gov. Rendell, Senators Piccola and Folmer, and the area's state representatives to adopt a strong global warming plan and pass clean energy legislation being debated in Harrisburg. Taking these important steps will help to protect Pennsylvania's environment for generations to come.
