The state legislature is considering multiple bills that will improve recycling in Pennsylvania. Two of these proposals will reauthorize Pennsylvania's Recycling Fund which helps finance recycling programs across the Commonwealth. Another couple of bills will give counties the power to assess a fee on trash in order to fund countywide recycling programs. These pieces of legislation are critical to further protecting our environment, promoting recycling, and keeping reusable materials out of Pennsylvania's landfills and incinerators.

We all know that recycling is one of the quickest and easiest ways to help protect our environment.  That's because recycling helps to keep recyclable materials out of our landfills and incinerators and makes sure that these resources are reused and turned into new products.
