The way we produce and use energy in Pennsylvania has severe impacts on our environment and our public health. From the air and water pollution caused by our coal-fired power plants, to the toxic nuclear waste created by the state's nuclear power plants, to the wasted energy that results from us not taking advantage of energy efficient technologies, it is obvious that we could be doing better.
PennEnvironment is working to create a new energy future for Pennsylvania, in which we are more reliant on clean, renewable energy sources like wind and solar, and in which we take advantage of energy efficient technologies to reduce our overall energy demand.
