David Masur is the Director for the PennEnvironment Research and Policy Center. David graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1994, and became an organizer with the Connecticut Public Interest Research Group. Between 1996-2002, David was the Director for PennPIRG, where he led environmental, consumer, and good government campaigns. In June of 2002, David became the Director of the PennEnvironment Research and Policy Center, and its 501(c)(4) sister organization, PennEnvironment Inc.
His experience includes working closely with the editorial staff in the Commonwealth’s largest media outlets, developing educational materials for concerned residents in the state, and coordinating the efforts of the PennEnvironment with other statewide environmental groups in Pennsylvania.
In addition, David has directed citizen outreach offices in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh where he educated thousands of citizens on anti-environmental attacks and other environmental issues. David focuses most of his energy working on clean water and land use issues in Pennsylvania.
Nathan Willcox is the Energy Advocate for the PennEnvironment Research and Policy Center. Nathan joined the organization’s staff during the summer of 2002 after previously working as the Global Warming Field Organizer for the U.S. Public Interest Research Group in Washington, D.C.
During the summer of 2002, Nathan was the Citizen Outreach Director for the Rhode Island Public Interest Research Group, based in Providence. Nathan works to promote public policies and regulations that will improve energy efficiency in Pennsylvania, the use of renewable energy sources and energy production that won’t threaten the public’s health or the environment. Nathan graduated from American University in 2001.
Adam Garber is the field organizer for PennEnvironment
Research and Policy Center. Adam helps
to coordinate PennEnvironment’s efforts to heighten public education about the
state’s most pressing environmental issues, increase civic participation, and
garner media coverage to inform concerned Pennsylvanians.
Before joining PennEnvironment in the fall of 2007, Adam
worked as the energy and consumer associate for the New Jersey Public Interest
Research Group (NJPIRG). During his
tenure at NJPIRG he helped to pass one of the nation's strongest renewable
energy standards, promote energy efficiency, and promote clean, safe energy production
in New Jersey. In addition, Adam has run
citizen outreach office in New Jersey and Georgia to mobilize citizens around
environmental issues.
Adam graduated from St. John's College- Annapolis in 2005
with a degree in liberal arts.
