Ask friends to stop attacks on our parks & forests

Help protect Pennsylvania’s state parks and forests from legislative proposals that will make it virtually impossible for our state’s environmental regulators to preserve these areas from degrading oil and gas drilling.

Please ask five of your friends or family to e-mail their state senator and state Representative asking them to oppose House Bill 32 in the energy special session, and Senate Bill 1127.

Message Are our elected officials losing sight of the forest for the trees? This week, powerful members of the state House and Senate have introduced legislation that will make it virtually impossible for state environmental regulators to stop oil and gas drilling in our state forests. To make matters worse, these same proposals threaten state parklands as well. Sadly, this comes after Pennsylvanians have barraged state environmental officials with e-mails, letters and faxes opposing their proposal to lift a ban on oil and gas drilling in state forests. We need to show our state senators and representatives that we don't want to lose sight of the forests and the trees-especially if it means losing the trees to oil rigs and drilling pads.
