We are close to building the support needed to clean up two of the worst TCE polluters in the nation. TCE pollution is responsible for cancer, respiratory diseases, and liver damage.

Message Hi, I'm trying to cleanup two of the worst polluters of TCE, Superior Tube and Accellent in Montgomery County, which is responsible for cancer, respiratory diseases and liver damage. Help me out by telling the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection to cleanup these facilities by clicking here: http://pennenvironment.org/action/clean-water/tceemail?id4=ES BACKGROUND If you live in Collegeville, quietly nestled in Pennsylvania's Montgomery County, you unsuspectingly live next door to two of the largest polluters of the carcinogen trichloroethylene, or TCE, in America -- Superior Tube and Accellent. TCE is associated with several types of cancer, respiratory disorders and liver damage and it's been spewed from the smoke stacks of these two facilities for years. After leaving the smoke stacks, it gets into the soil and groundwater of the surrounding area and then into humans. Superior Tube is the sixth highest TCE emitter in the nation while Accellent ranks as the eighth. Recent air quality monitoring shows the Collegeville area has TCE levels 5-10 times higher than anywhere else in the state.
